SENIOR associate

Sara (she/her/hers) practices in all areas of labour, employment, human rights, administrative and professional regulatory law.

Sara advises unions on a wide variety of matters including grievances related to discipline and discharge, contract interpretation and human rights matters.

Sara has a particular interest in the intersection between workplace and human rights law. She has acted for numerous survivors of workplace sexual harassment and sexual assault in complaints before the BC Human Rights Tribunal.

Prior to joining Moore Edgar Lyster LLP, Sara clerked for two justices at the Federal Court of Canada where she cultivated her interest in administrative law and the complexities of judicial review. She has acted for individuals in judicial reviews before the BC Supreme Court and the Federal Court of Canada. She has also appeared before the BC Court of Appeal.

In keeping with this interest, Sara currently sits as the Chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Administrative Law Section Executive.

In her spare time, Sara can be found running around east Vancouver, weight training, or attempting to beat her partner at chess. In the before-times, she could often be found attending live shows at venues around Vancouver.
